The LAPTOP memecoin launched on Wednesday to a dramatic price surge before plummeting nearly 98% from its initial launch price of 5 cents within hours.

The token, associated with Hunter Biden, experienced a near-complete collapse amid allegations of sniper bot exploitation and inadequate liquidity. Sniper bots operate as sophisticated automated tools designed to identify newly launched tokens and execute purchases within milliseconds, artificially inflating prices before ordinary market participants can enter positions.

A blockchain intelligence platform, Nansen, reported 46,675 purchase transactions versus 16,038 sell orders during the token's first 24-hour period. The majority of buyers had maintained their holdings at the point of data collection.

According to Bubblemaps analysis, 60% of major token holders operated wallets with zero previous transaction history. Project developers intend to inject 4 million tokens into Aerodrome liquidity pools as incentives.
