Hunter Biden's memecoin, LAPTOP, crashed by nearly 98% after its launch on Base blockchain. The token reached $190.81 within two minutes of opening before plummeting to around $3.70 during its first hour.

Biden jokingly asked Elon Musk for help reviving the struggling token, citing warnings from Musk and Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei about the risks of advanced artificial intelligence.

Amodei had warned that AI could potentially take over the internet within six to 12 months if safety measures are not in place. Musk publicly backed this call, writing on X that 'Dario is right.'

The project team attributed the rapid collapse to sniper bots and thin liquidity, saying they planned to add liquidity after the launch.
