LAPTOP Rebounds Amid Worsening Divide Over Crypto Regulation

Hunter Biden's memecoin LAPTOP has seen a nearly 10% rebound to $0.24 after plummeting to $0.192, but remains down 99% from its Sept. 9 peak of $199.51.

The token's brief rally follows a broader crypto market sell-off triggered by the U.S. Senate's failed CLARITY Act vote.

Biden has continued to hype the token on social media, touting its novel prediction mechanism and dismissing its steep losses as 'headline-grabbing'.

Critics, however, caution that high-profile token launches risk triggering harsh legal action against the crypto industry.

Nicolas Vaiman, CEO of Bubblemaps, argues that the problem is not regulation but rather a lack of transparency in new token launches.
