LayerZero Axes Support for Five Chains Amid Low Activity
LayerZero is withdrawing its Decentralized Verifier Network (DVN) and Executor services from five chains, including Botanix, Canto, Moonriver, Moonbeam, and Nexera. This move will remove the off-chain infrastructure used to verify and deliver cross-chain messages on these networks.
The changes will take effect over the next 30 days, during which time users are advised to redeem USDC.e, wrapped Ether, and Hydra USDT from affected chains before their individual cutoffs. Assets left behind may become inaccessible once the supporting pathways are fully deprecated.
LayerZero cited minimal activity as the reason for this decision. Applications relying on its services will lose those routes unless their operators adopt alternative infrastructure or migrate their deployments.
