LayerZero Surges 18% Amid Broad Altcoin Rotation and Dominant Cross-Chain Volume
LayerZero (ZRO) price surged 18% intraday before retreating, with the token trading near $1.94 and stabilizing at the mid-$1.80s. The rally is driven by a mix of broader altcoin rotation and LayerZero's dominant share of cross-chain transfer volume, as well as fresh adoption of its OFT standard.
The token has been recovering for weeks, rising from $1.00 in mid-September to nearly $1.85. This momentum is being reinforced by stronger LayerZero-specific data, particularly its share of the interoperability market.
Data from Allium Labs shows LayerZero processed around $8.8 billion of the $9.5 billion moved across six major cross-chain messaging protocols over the past 30 days, accounting for roughly 93% of tracked volume by dollar value.
USD.AI recently expanded its USDai and yield-bearing sUSDai assets to Solana, adding another major chain to its multichain footprint and using LayerZero's infrastructure to move assets across networks while keeping supply coordinated.
