Ledger and Payward Unite for Offline Storage of Tokenized Stocks

A new partnership between Ledger and Payward has enabled tokenized stocks to be stored offline on Ledger hardware wallets, marking one of the clearest signs yet that crypto infrastructure and traditional stock trading are blending into a single ecosystem.

The integration connects Payward's xStocks platform with Ledger devices, including the flagship Stax model. Tokenized stocks recently received an 'innovation exemption' from the SEC, adding regulatory legitimacy.

Transactions on xStocks can require a signature confirmed directly on a Ledger device before completing, enhancing security through cold storage.

Ledger is reportedly in talks with other major exchanges, including Coinbase, Binance, and Robinhood, about similar integrations.
