Lee Sees Crypto Rally Extending Further with Multiple Drivers
Tom Lee, chairman of BitMine, believes that the current crypto rally could extend further. According to him, this cycle is different from previous ones because it's driven by multiple trends rather than a single one. Lee cites tokenization as a key factor in the ongoing rally. Tokenization allows financial companies to put stocks and other assets on digital networks, creating new ways of trading and using them.
Lee emphasizes that companies are unlikely to adopt blockchain technology unless it can significantly lower costs, improve operations, or create new revenue streams. He also highlights the growing use of stablecoins as a means for companies to move money and settle transactions digitally. Another area that could drive demand is artificial intelligence (AI), which may eventually enable AI agents to make payments, buy services, or move stablecoins without human intervention.
Lee expects Ethereum to benefit from the growth of tokenized assets and financial applications. He notes that financial institutions are examining Ethereum due to its established network, security, and widespread use. Lee predicts that Ethereum's price could reach $60,000 to $72,000 in a measured move, which would put it 10x above its prior highs.
