Bank Leumi has partnered with Galaxy Digital to offer Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Solana (SOL) trading through its mobile app, PEPPER. The service is expected to launch in early 2027, pending regulatory approval from the Bank of Israel.

The partnership will provide customers with a dedicated, secured section within the app for buying, holding, and selling digital assets. Galaxy Digital will supply trading and custody infrastructure, using its GalaxyOne Institutional platform for trading and the GK8 Custody Infrastructure platform to support Leumi's digital asset operations.

This is Bank Leumi's second attempt at offering crypto trading services, following a failed effort in 2022 that stalled due to regulatory hurdles. The bank's Head of Strategy, Maya Ravia, believes that 'digital assets are gradually becoming an integral part of the global financial system.'
