Lighter Pulls Back After Rejection at $3.79 Amid Cumberland's $6.94M LIT Transfer
Lighter's recent price action has been marked by a significant pullback after five consecutive daily closes at higher highs. The altcoin faced rejection at $3.79 and dropped to $3.2, resulting in a 4.5% decline on the daily chart. Trading Volume also decreased by 24% to $122 million, indicating reduced market activity.
The selling pressure is attributed to Cumberland's recent LIT transfer, which involved depositing 2 million LIT worth $6.94 million to OKX and Bybit through four 500,000-token transfers. This large transaction may have contributed to the short-term price decline as the deposited tokens enter the market.
However, despite Cumberland selling LIT on behalf of its clients, other market participants are buying, creating a potential buying opportunity for investors. The Spot Netflow fell by 755% to negative $1.07 million, indicating that more LIT left exchanges than entered them, which could signal accumulation if traders moved the tokens into private wallets.
The altcoin's on-chain activity has also increased significantly, with Active Addresses climbing to a monthly high of 17,600 and New Addresses rising to 743. The rising Address count suggests increased network usage and adoption.
