Liquid Network Restores Peg Out Preparations After Security Audit
The Liquid Network has taken steps to restore Bitcoin peg outs after an independent security audit of Elements v23.3.4 began.
The network's federation is replacing existing Peg out Authorization Key (PAK) entries and ensuring the relevant keys are properly secured in cold storage.
Peg outs remain suspended, with Liquid yet to provide a firm date for when operations will resume.
The security audit follows a September exploit that led to roughly 4,000 BTC being withdrawn from the federation reserve.
