LIT Plunges 13% as Robinhood Routes Perps Through Bitstamp
Lighter (LIT) cryptocurrency took a hit after Robinhood announced its plans to route U.S. perpetual-futures trading through Bitstamp, which it acquired for $200 million in 2025.
The news sent LIT plummeting 13% over 24 hours and 26% over seven days, with prices briefly falling to around $3.74 before recovering slightly.
The initial list of eligible assets includes BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, DOGE, ADA, LINK, and HYPE, with up to 10× leverage on BTC and ETH and up to 3× on other assets.
Analysts are assessing whether the market is repricing LIT's future growth or if this is a broader break in the setup.
