Litecoin Defies Expectations with Continued Price Growth
Litecoin's price has defied expectations and continued to rise despite Binance's decision to delist the LTC/BNB spot trading pair on August 21st. While this move may have seemed like a blow to Litecoin holders, it appears that traders are not giving up on the asset just yet.
Binance cited low liquidity as the reason for removing the LTC/BNB pair from its platform, but this decision has had little impact on Litecoin's overall price. At the time of writing, Litecoin was trading near $52 after a breakout from the $44-$45 range.
However, some analysts have noted that Litecoin's Relative Strength Index (RSI) is in overbought territory, with a reading of 73. This could potentially slow down the asset's price growth in the short term.
Despite this, Litecoin's Open Interest (OI) remains high at around $197 million, and the average funding rate is positive at approximately 0.0101%. This suggests that traders are still willing to hold leveraged long positions on the asset.
Furthermore, there appears to be significant liquidity clustering around $55, just above Litecoin's current price. This could make for a potentially chaotic next price swing as traders eye this target.
