Litecoin Partners With Greywick to Launch cLTC on Canton Network
The Litecoin Foundation has partnered with Greywick Digital to launch cLTC on the Canton Network. The new token is designed for settlement transactions and yield-bearing instruments, aiming to integrate into a blockchain environment tailored for financial institutions. This partnership comes after over 417 million historical transactions on the Litecoin network since its inception in 2011.
The mainnet deployment of cLTC is scheduled for late 2026, contingent upon reserve address disclosures and third-party audits. Greywick Digital will lead the technical development, while the Litecoin Foundation provides institutional backing to drive operational adoption. The asset currently operates on a testnet phase.
Canton Network's infrastructure has secured several enterprise-grade integrations throughout 2026, featuring institutional participants such as DTCC, Goldman Sachs, BNY Mellon, and Circle. The roadmap targets the mainnet launch of cLTC prior to the end of the fourth quarter of 2026.
