Litecoin's price surged by over 8% in the past 24 hours to reach $62, its highest point since June. The sudden increase in value was accompanied by a significant rise in trading activity, with the coin's 24-hour trading volume nearly doubling to over $520 million.
The jump in price and volume is not an isolated incident, as other major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin also experienced gains, with Bitcoin rising by 5.7% to break above $85,000. This collective movement has led some to speculate that the rally could continue if Litecoin can break through the $65 resistance level.
The area between $63.80 and $65 is seen as a crucial juncture for Litecoin's price action, with a daily close above $65 potentially opening the door to a larger bounce. However, if the coin fails to clear this level, it may retreat towards the $58-60 support range, or even fall deeper into the $54-$55 price area.
