LTC has taken the lead as the most widely used cryptocurrency in the world. According to data from Santiment, the Daily Active Addresses for Litecoin saw a significant spike in May, reaching an average of 700,000 addresses per day, compared to just 345,000 in April.

This metric is considered a proxy for network activity and interest in the asset. The higher the number of active addresses, the more traffic the blockchain receives, indicating increased usage and adoption.
