Lloyds and Visa have completed a seven-day live pilot of using USDC for payment obligations, settling $750,000 in under an hour.
The trial demonstrated a faster settlement process compared to traditional cross-border payments, which can take a day or more.
The Canton Network was used for the pilot, with Lloyds operating its own node and obtaining USDC through Archax, a UK-regulated cryptocurrency exchange.
