London BTC Uncovers Antimony and Copper Potential at Black Star
London BTC Company Limited has unveiled promising initial results from its latest exploration program at the Black Star Gold - Critical Minerals Project in Nevada. The company reported significant findings of antimony and copper, with rock chip samples yielding up to 0.44% antimony and 30% copper. Hewie Rattray, CEO of London BTC, expressed enthusiasm about the discovery, noting that the presence of antimony alongside copper, bismuth, and silver across a 2.5 km corridor aligns with historical mineral occurrences nearby. This multi-element signature enhances the project's appeal, as antimony is classified as a critical mineral in the United States.
The exploration program involved collecting 69 rock chip samples along the corridor between the Western and Eastern targets. Key samples included readings of 0.44% antimony at the Eastern Target and 30.0% copper at the Western Target, alongside notable concentrations of bismuth and silver. While these results are preliminary, they closely resemble historical samples from the 1980s, suggesting potential for further mineralization. The samples have been submitted to MSALABS for laboratory assays, which will provide more definitive data.
David Lenigas, Chairman of London BTC Company, highlighted the strategic importance of the findings. He emphasized that the identification of antimony within the company's claims, combined with the presence of gold and silver, positions Black Star as an attractive project. The exploration team is now moving to other sites, including Amonett-Frank and Huntington-Whitman, which have shown high-grade gold and silver potential. The company awaits the laboratory results to validate the preliminary field readings and assess the full extent of the mineralization.
