Long-Term Bitcoin Holders Hit Record High as Unrealized Gains Remain Low
Bitcoin long-term holders have reached an all-time high of 16.3 million coins, according to CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost.
This group, which holds BTC for more than six months, has seen their average holding cost rise to around $49,400, but currently only about 30% unrealized gains have been achieved based on current prices.
Darkfost notes that in January 2025, the net unrealized gain of long-term holders once reached about 340%, and at the end of the last bear market, they were experiencing around 20% unrealized losses before the market corrected even further.
He advises investors to be prepared for both upward and downward market scenarios.
