LTH Activity Cools as Market Behavior Shifts Towards Rationality

Crypto analyst Darkfost observed that long-term BTC holders (LTHs) were most active during the market peak in March 2024, with daily average inflows exceeding the annual average by more than five times.

However, this activity remained relatively subdued during the 2025 peak. It wasn't until the onset of the bear market that LTH activity significantly increased, with the annual average daily exchange inflow rising from approximately 600 BTC to around 1,000 BTC.

This surge in activity was consistent with earlier buyers realizing their losses as the market approached its bottom. Currently, Darkfost notes that LTH-related activity is gradually cooling down, with exchange inflows still below the annual average.
