Lucky Adds Cardano to Watchlist for Governance, Scaling, and Ecosystem Growth
Lucky, a visionary Web3 founder and Bitcoin OG since 2015, has Cardano ($ADA) on his watchlist.
In a recent commentary, Lucky identified several altcoins, including Ethereum, Solana, Chainlink, Monero, Sui, Bittensor (TAO), and Cardano, as the ones he is monitoring.
Lucky emphasized that he's not focused on short-term price movements but rather on developments that could influence their long-term positions in the market.
One of the key factors behind his interest in Cardano is its governance model, which has shifted toward community-led decision-making after the Chang hard fork. The framework allows community participants to have a greater role in decisions involving protocol upgrades, treasury spending, and the network's future direction.
The recent Van Rossem hard fork, also known as Protocol Version 11, marked another milestone for the Cardano ecosystem, with the community approving it. This upgrade demonstrates the network's ability to execute fully community-approved protocol upgrades.
Lucky also highlighted scaling efforts as a reason for his continued interest in Cardano. The network's scaling roadmap includes Ouroboros Leios at the Layer-1 level and Hydra at Layer-2, targeting mainnet deployment in December 2026. Leios aims to significantly increase transaction throughput by enabling greater parallelization of network activity, while Hydra focuses on faster and lower-cost transactions through Layer-2 infrastructure.
Furthermore, Lucky pointed to Cardano's expanding ecosystem as another reason for his interest. The network is developing its governance infrastructure, scaling technologies, and broader application ecosystem to increase utility across decentralized applications and on-chain finance.
