Lucky Keeps Eye on Cardano Due to Governance, Scaling Efforts
Lucky, a well-known Bitcoin OG and Web3 founder, has expressed his continued interest in Cardano (ADA). In recent commentary, Lucky placed ADA alongside Ethereum, Solana, Chainlink, Monero, Sui, and Bittensor (TAO) as altcoins he is monitoring. Rather than focusing on short-term price movements, Lucky highlighted developments that could influence ADA's long-term position.
Lucky specifically pointed to Cardano's governance structure as a key factor behind his interest. The network has increasingly moved toward community-led governance following the Chang hard fork. This framework gives community participants a greater role in decisions involving protocol upgrades, treasury spending, and the network's future direction.
Another factor behind Lucky's continued interest is Cardano's scaling efforts. The network aims to increase transaction throughput with Ouroboros Leios at the Layer-1 level and Hydra at Layer-2. Leios is targeted for mainnet deployment in December 2026, while Hydra demonstrated its capacity during a Doom Tournament, reaching 1 million transactions per second.
Cardano's expanding ecosystem is also a reason Lucky continues to monitor ADA. The network is developing its governance infrastructure, scaling technologies, and broader application ecosystem as it seeks to expand utility across decentralized applications and on-chain finance. Projects such as Midnight and RealFi are contributing to Cardano's expanding DeFi landscape.
