Lumia Community Votes on $0.09 Buyback of HyperNode Rewards
Lumia's community is voting on a proposal to use the foundation treasury for a one-time buyback of HyperNode rewards. The proposal, LGP-01, would cover about 18 years' worth of remaining rewards at a fixed price of 0.09 USDT per Lumia (LUMIA) token.
The proposed price is more than 10% above LUMIA/USDT's 30-day time-weighted average price of $0.0812. This move would end the current HyperNode rewards program, but it would not create additional LUMIA or increase the total supply.
Under the proposal, all recovered LUMIA would be transferred to the Lumia Foundation Growth Initiative. The initiative aims to support projects involving real-world assets, AI agents, government and sovereign blockchain deployments, institutional partnerships, liquidity, and the developer ecosystem.
