Senator Cynthia Lummis has called for action on the Clarity Act, a bill aimed at establishing a regulatory framework for the crypto market. The legislation, which was initially introduced last year with bipartisan support, has been stalled in the Senate due to concerns from Democrats and others.

The Clarity Act has undergone significant changes since its introduction, with over 600 pages of revisions made through nearly 11 months of bipartisan negotiations. According to Lummis, the bill includes more than 100 compromises made during this process.

Despite these efforts, the legislation still faces resistance from some lawmakers, who are seeking further revisions before supporting it. Republicans, however, are pushing for a vote on the measure before Congress begins its August recess.
