Lummis Warns Delayed CLARITY Act Could Stifle Crypto Legislation Until 2030
Senator Cynthia Lummis has warned that failure to pass the CLARITY Act in Congress could delay market structure legislation until 2030.
The bill, which aims to eliminate regulatory ambiguity surrounding digital assets across the United States, cleared the House in July 2025 but remains gridlocked in the Senate over a year later.
Lummis emphasized that failing to move the CLARITY Act through the current Congressional session pushes the next viable opportunity for comprehensive market structure legislation all the way to 2030.
The Senator stated, 'By completing work on this legislation immediately, we prevent the loss of countless opportunities, jobs, investment capital, and government revenue.'
