Bitcoin's path through 2026 is facing significant macro headwinds, according to an analysis by Vanessa Grellet. The expert suggests that any rebound in Bitcoin and the broader crypto market hinges on deleveraging rather than simple price action.

The current state of the market is characterized by higher interest rates, tariffs, and risks of war with Iran, which are all contributing to a slowdown. Additionally, capital is rotating into the AI industry, further weighing on the crypto market.

Bitcoin's technical indicators are also pointing to a measured pullback. The price is trading at $78,829.49 within its Bollinger Bands and is pressing against the upper resistance level of $80,634.76. Meanwhile, the 50-EMA support sits at $74,942.08 and the 200-EMA at $68,341.99.

The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is neutral at 59.72, while the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) shows a death cross, indicating a potential pullback towards the 50-EMA before any continuation higher.
