Magic Eden Bug Exposes Thousands of NFTs

A recent whitehat operation moved 3,832 NFTs to a safe wallet after discovering a bug in an old payment contract used by Magic Eden.

The bug was found in the Limit Break's Payment Processor V2, which Magic Eden started using in 2024 to settle trades on EVM chains.

The NFTs were transferred to prevent potential harm, and according to 0xQuit, Yuga Labs' VP of Blockchain, the transfers 'looked like regular sales on Magic Eden', causing concern among holders.

Magic Eden has since announced that only listings from February to October 2024 are at risk, as they dropped the contract in October 2024 and shut its EVM marketplace completely in Q1 2026.
