Malaysian Stocks Surge on Oil-Related Gains, Ringgit Weakens

Bursa Malaysia's key index rose significantly on Thursday, driven by gains in oil-related and plantation stocks. The 30-stock index increased by more than eight points to close at 1,708.

The Malaysian ringgit lost some value against the US dollar, trading at around 4.0420. In the cryptocurrency market, Bitcoin plummeted to RM310,911, while Ethereum dropped to RM9,657 and Solana stood at RM399.
