Mantra Chain Halted Amid Attempted Attack, Price Drops Over 10%
MANTRA Chain, a Layer-1 blockchain focused on RWA tokenization, halted its network as a precautionary measure after detecting an attempted attack. The move caused MANTRA's price to plummet by over 10% in the past 24 hours.
The halt affected all transactions and deposits on the network, with public endpoints, validators, bridge operations, and transactions being frozen until further notice. According to an official announcement, this was done as a precaution while investigations are ongoing.
An attacker attempted to exploit a vulnerability in an upstream dependency used by the chain, prompting the team to prepare a patched release. A coordinated restart with the wider validator set is required before the network can resume operations.
