MANTRA Chain Proposes Community Pool and Buyback Mechanism
MANTRA Chain has put forth a governance proposal to create a Community Pool for ecosystem funding and a MANTRA Assistance Fund (MAF). The proposal, which went live on October 2, 2026, and closes on October 8, 2026, aims to allocate validator revenue to support ecosystem development, liquidity provision, and application building on the chain.
The MAF is a new vehicle that will use fees from stablecoin transactions on the NVNM Chain to buy $MANTRA tokens on the open market. This move is expected to recycle activity on one chain into demand for the token of another. The proposal also addresses earlier community discussions about validator revenue, aiming to put that income to work without stalling the ecosystem's momentum.
The voting process is significant, as it will determine the fate of the proposal without touching existing token emissions or issuing new tokens. MANTRA Chain's governance system has previously used community pools as a funding and governance tool, and this proposal builds on that approach.
