MANTRA Seeks Community Feedback on Ecosystem Funding Initiatives
MANTRA Chain is seeking feedback from its community on two new funding initiatives. A governance proposal, known as Proposal #39, was put to a vote on October 2 and will close on October 8.
The proposals aim to create a Community Pool for ecosystem funding and establish the MANTRA Assistance Fund (MAF), which would use fees from stablecoin transactions on the NVNM Chain to buy back MANTRA tokens on the open market. This process is expected to be self-sustaining, with no new token emissions or issuance.
The MAF is designed to recycle activity on one chain into demand for the token of another, potentially reducing concerns about dilution given MANTRA's 8% inflation rate as of mid-2025. The specifics of how funds will be allocated and managed through the MAF are expected to be published after the voting period.
MANTRA Chain has previously used community pools as a funding and governance tool, and this proposal builds on earlier discussions about validator revenue. Token holders are effectively trusting the process that will follow, with the allocation details slated to arrive after the vote.
