MARA Holdings, a publicly traded Bitcoin miner, has reported a decline in its Bitcoin holdings and revenue for the second quarter of 2026. The company's BTC holdings decreased by 29% year-over-year to 35,577 units. This drop in Bitcoin holdings is reflected in MARA's revenue, which fell 27% to $175 million. Despite these weaker financial results, the company managed to increase its hashrate by 22% to 70.3 EH/s and boost Bitcoin production by 3% to 2,422 BTC.

The company's net loss for the quarter was $611 million, with adjusted EBITDA of negative $361 million. MARA's combined cash and Bitcoin holdings were valued at approximately $2.5 billion at the end of the quarter. The report highlights the challenges faced by Bitcoin miners in the current market.

MARA's financial results may be a concern for investors, but it is essential to note that the company has been working to increase its efficiency and adapt to the changing cryptocurrency landscape.
