MARA Holdings, a prominent player in the Bitcoin mining sector, has shifted its strategy amidst market fluctuations. In 2026, the company sold approximately 23,093 BTC for $1.6 billion, transitioning from a purely accumulation-focused approach to a more balanced one.

The move was partly driven by a major transaction in March 2026, where MARA sold 15,133 BTC for around $1.1 billion, helping to alleviate convertible note debt.

In addition to selling Bitcoin, MARA also mined an additional 2,422 BTC in Q2 2026, increasing its operational hashrate to 70.3 EH/s and underscoring the company's commitment to expanding its mining operations.
