MARA, a company involved in Bitcoin mining and accumulation, has amassed over 50,000 BTC. This stash surpasses the combined holdings of the five next largest public miners, with a value of approximately $5.45 billion.

According to the source, MARA's 'twin turbo' strategy involves both aggressive open market buys and mining activities. In 2024, the company purchased 22,065 BTC and mined an additional 9,500 coins.

This strategy has allowed MARA to grow its holdings significantly in a short period, from 15,000 BTC at the start of 2024 to over 44,893 BTC by December 31. The company's Bitcoin holdings account for around 5% of the network's hash rate.
