Market Players Predict Bullish Run for Bitcoin in Final Quarter
As Bitcoin enters its final quarter of the year, market players are predicting a bullish run. Veteran trader Peter Brandt raised his cycle-top forecast in late September, projecting a peak between $300,000 and $600,000 by the end of 2029.
Brandt described a $500,000 level as having a good chance of being reached in the next major bull market, while viewing the June 2026 low as the likely cycle bottom. However, he flagged risks of a near-term pullback.
Fundstrat's Tom Lee delivered one of the more aggressive near-term calls on September 30, targeting Bitcoin at $200,000 to $250,000 by the end of 2026. He cited the reclaim of the 200-day moving average, institutional inflows, and broader adoption drivers.
Arthur Hayes, co-founder of BitMEX, reiterated his long-term bullish stance across September updates, seeing a path to $1 million Bitcoin by 2030 with potential acceleration in late 2027 or early 2028 driven by liquidity from AI-related dynamics and money printing.
Citi raised its 12-month Bitcoin price target to approximately $113,000, $113,400 in October, marking a roughly 39% upward revision from its prior forecast near $82,000. At report time, Bitcoin was trading at $86,304, remaining above the $80,000 mark since September 18th.
