Financial markets suffered a broad decline on Friday after Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh's address at Jackson Hole. In his inaugural speech, Warsh emphasized that the Fed will have work to do if inflation fails to retreat to its 2% objective.

The comments led to a significant increase in market expectations for a September rate hike, with odds surging from 35% to above 57%, according to data from CME Group's FedWatch tool.

This increased expectation of higher interest rates put downward pressure on stocks and other assets. The Nasdaq Composite declined by 0.52%, the S&P 500 fell by 0.25%, and the Russell 2000 plummeted by 1.4%.

The U.S. dollar index also saw a significant rally, gaining 0.61% to reach its strongest single-day advance in over two months. Bitcoin dropped by 2.77% as rate hike concerns pressured risk-oriented assets across the board.
