Markets Trending Upwards Amidst Range-Bound Assets
Markets are generally trending upwards, but some assets are struggling to break free from their ranges. The FTSE 100 is hovering below its resistance line at 11,000, while the DAX has made a stronger move towards its target of 26,300.
The Dow Jones has broken above its July resistance line, with a first upside target of 54,000 and a larger objective of 54,900. Bitcoin remains in a tight range, moving either side of its 50-day moving average without committing to a clear direction.
Ethereum is holding just above its rising 50-day moving average, but the RSI has slipped below neutral 50, raising concerns about a potential pullback towards $1,550. Gold has lost excitement and is trading in tight ranges within a small falling trend channel.
WTI Crude Oil has been volatile due to recent headlines and comments from Donald Trump, with two gaps down followed by an attempt to recover above its 50-day moving average at $80.65.
