Share

Mastercard has completed its acquisition of BVNK for $1.8 billion, a deal aimed at expanding stablecoin payments.

The platform will enable cross-border business payments, payouts for merchants, treasuries, settlement solutions, and tokenized assets payments using the combined infrastructure.

This integration will enhance stablecoin usage in several financial services and provide more infrastructure for digital currency and fiat currency payment integration. Mastercard believes that this acquisition will allow businesses to make payments more efficiently and increase their access to financial services built on blockchain technology.
