Mastercard's stablecoin payment infrastructure company BVNK has integrated native support for the Stellar network, allowing enterprise clients to directly transact stablecoins on Stellar without needing to build their own on-chain technology.

This integration is part of Mastercard's expansion into the stablecoin infrastructure space following its acquisition of BVNK in March 2026 for a total consideration of $1.5 billion upfront plus $300 million in performance-based earnouts, totaling up to $1.8 billion.

Stellar transactions settle in about 5 seconds with fees under 1 cent, and the network operates at a 99.99% uptime, targeting high-frequency, low-value, cross-border enterprise payments.
