Matrixport Sends Another Large BTC Batch to Binance Amid Bitcoin Price Surge
Bitcoin's price has held steady near $81,000 as Matrixport, now known as BIT, sent another large batch of coins to Binance. On September 19, a wallet linked to BIT deposited 1,000 BTC worth approximately $81.06 million into the exchange. This follows a similar transaction on September 15, when BIT shipped 1,400 BTC, valued at over $107.8 million, to Binance.
The total amount sent by Matrixport to Binance in these two transactions is now 2,400 BTC. The timing of these deposits has sparked interest among analysts and traders, given Bitcoin's price recently surged past the mid-$76,000s to reach $81,000.
Analysts have flagged a potential resistance zone between $81,700 and $83,000 for Bitcoin, which coincidentally is near the current price. While it remains unclear whether these deposits will affect the market, experts suggest three possible scenarios: if BIT's coins hit the order book, fresh supply could meet demand at the $81,700 to $83,000 zone; if the deposits are for margin or client flows, the coins may sit idle on Binance; or if ETF demand holds strong, blocks of this size can be absorbed without significant impact.
