McIntyre Exits Bitcoin, Sees AI as Future of Investing
Australia's Jeremy McIntyre, Chief Editor of the Australian National Review and self-made millionaire, shared his thoughts on investing in a rapidly changing world.
In a recent conversation with Wealthivora, McIntyre discussed how he exited Bitcoin at $110,000 and now views it as only a limited hedge against financial crises. He attributes this shift to a change in his investment priorities, which are now focused on AI and real estate opportunities beyond the Western world.
McIntyre believes that property prices in many Western markets have become too high, making them less attractive for investment. Instead, he suggests looking at emerging markets like Bali, Lombok, and Georgia, where affordability, lifestyle, and remote work capabilities could drive growth.
When it comes to US equities and government bonds, McIntyre is cautious, arguing that the former are overvalued and the latter do not offer a risk-free refuge. He also warns of a potential shift in global power dynamics, with China's rise, Russia's military capabilities, and BRICS countries' efforts to reduce dependence on Western financial systems potentially leading to a US dollar crisis.
McIntyre emphasizes the importance of learning AI skills, not just investing in AI-related stocks. He believes that practical ability to use AI will be crucial for businesses and individuals to adapt to changing market conditions.
