Megacorn Fund LP Sees 62% Gain in Ripple Shares Following $500M Investment Round
Megacorn Fund LP, an investment fund focused on fintech and software companies, reported a significant gain in its Ripple shares as of December 31, 2025. The fund acquired 2,704 Ripple shares in April 2024 at a cost basis of $229,840, but marked them at $373,179 by year-end, resulting in an unrealized gain of approximately 62.4%.
The revaluation followed a $500 million strategic investment round in November 2025, led by funds tied to Fortress Investment Group and Citadel Securities, which valued Ripple at $40 billion. This marked the second major funding event for the company that year, with a separate $1 billion tender offer also priced at $40 billion.
Ripple's mark-up was among the strongest in Megacorn's fintech portfolio, although not the only notable mover. Kraken, the cryptocurrency exchange, saw its value increase by about 63.8% over the same period, while Databricks, a data analytics firm, climbed by around 28.6%.
