Metaplanet has made waves in the corporate world by announcing its acquisition of Super League Enterprise, a Nasdaq-listed gaming and media company, in an all-Bitcoin deal worth approximately $134.6 million.

The acquisition is valued at $132.1 million based on current Bitcoin prices, making it one of the most aggressive Bitcoin treasury strategies on record.

The deal sees Metaplanet securing a controlling stake in Super League Enterprise, with the company set to rebrand as Superplanet, Inc. and trade under the ticker SUPA on Nasdaq.

The acquisition is part of Metaplanet's strategy to build a reputation as Japan's answer to MicroStrategy, which pioneered the corporate Bitcoin treasury playbook.
