Metaplanet Acquires Super League Enterprise in Bitcoin-Fueled Deal
Metaplanet is acquiring a controlling stake in Nasdaq-listed Super League Enterprise for $134.6 million, marking a significant move in its Bitcoin strategy.
The Japanese firm will contribute 2,100 Bitcoin, valued at approximately $132.1 million, alongside $2.5 million in cash to the deal. The newly issued common shares were priced at $3.00, based on Bitcoin's closing price on August 14.
As part of the transaction, Metaplanet will acquire up to 381 million additional shares over a ten-year period through warrants, representing a potential future capital pool of approximately $3.38 billion.
