Metaplex Unveils MPL-3643 for Tokenized Securities on Solana
Metaplex has introduced MPL-3643, a Solana token standard designed for permissioned real-world assets and tokenized securities. This framework embeds eligibility and transfer controls into the on-chain process.
The standard uses Solana's Token-2022 program, Solana Attestation Service, and sRFC 37 to enforce investor eligibility checks, jurisdictional restrictions, lockup periods, and transfer restrictions on-chain.
Investor verifications can be reused across offerings through integrations with identity services, allowing compliance checks to support multiple tokenized products.
