MEXC has added another 1,000 BTC to its Guardian Fund, bringing the total holdings to 2,000 BTC combined with 100 million USDT. This is the second major bitcoin allocation to the fund this year, as part of a $500 million expansion target announced in May 2026.

The exchange's chief executive, Vugar Usi, said that 'security and user protection is not a one-time investment. It is a continuous commitment.' MEXC maintains on-chain transparency for the fund by publicly disclosing its wallet addresses, allowing users to independently verify the reserve's holdings directly on-chain.

The addition of 1,000 BTC to the Guardian Fund continues MEXC's steady buildup toward its stated $500 million target. This approach mirrors that of several other large exchanges, which have also added to their protection funds in tranches tied to trading revenue or specific milestones.
