MEXC Exits Netherlands, Directs Users to MiCA-Compliant Bybit EU

Share

MEXC will cease operations in the Netherlands by November 16, and has recommended Bybit EU as an alternative for affected customers. This decision is due to MEXC's lack of MiCA authorization, which is required to provide regulated crypto services across the EEA.

The arrangement does not automatically transfer accounts or assets between exchanges; users must register with Bybit and move their own assets. MEXC will contact impacted customers with instructions and timelines.

Bybit EU has held a CASP authorization from Austria's Financial Market Authority since May 2025, and its services include custody, crypto-to-fiat and crypto-to-crypto exchange, placing crypto-assets and transfer services.
