Mexican Billionaire Pliego Invests 10% of Portfolio in Bitcoin

Mexican billionaire Ricardo Salinas Pliego has revealed that 10% of his liquid portfolio is invested in Bitcoin. His net worth is estimated at $13.2 billion, making him Mexico's second-richest man and the 166th richest person globally.

In a recent tweet, Pliego stated that he has been invested in Bitcoin since 2016, when it was valued at around $800 with Grayscale. He also clarified that his other 90% of investments are tied up in precious metals miners.

Pliego's endorsement of Bitcoin comes after he previously criticized government-issued fiat currency, calling it 'worth nothing'. He emphasized the importance of diversifying one's investment portfolio, citing inflationary expropriation as a reason to consider alternative assets like Bitcoin.
