MiCA Regulation Boosts Trust in Regulated Crypto Platforms Among EU Users
European crypto users are increasingly putting their trust in regulated platforms following the rollout of the MiCA framework, according to Bitpanda co-CEO Christian Trummer.
Trummer noted that ordinary customers are more comfortable using regulated providers rather than managing private keys themselves. He attributed this shift to the growing awareness and understanding of crypto assets within the mainstream population.
The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has announced that it will be enforcing stricter regulations against unlicensed firms operating in the EU. Firms without a MiCA license after July 1, 2026, must stop providing crypto-asset services to EU clients.
