MicroStrategy Adds 1,665 BTC to Treasuries, Hits $70 Billion Milestone
MicroStrategy's Bitcoin holdings have surpassed $70 billion after the company acquired an additional 1,665 BTC for approximately $142.7 million.
The purchase brings the total number of BTC held by MicroStrategy to 847,666, with an aggregate acquisition cost of around $63.95 billion.
According to a Form 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the company acquired the Bitcoin between September 21 and September 27 at an average price of $85,681 per BTC.
The latest purchase was funded partly through proceeds from sales of its Class A common stock, which totaled approximately $246.2 million after selling 1,469,165 MSTR shares last week.
