MicroStrategy Raises $263.5 Million, Leaves Bitcoin Holdings Unchanged
MicroStrategy, a company led by Michael Saylor, has raised $263.5 million through the sale of 2,732,318 MSTR shares between July 13 and 19. The funds will be added to its USD reserve, increasing it to approximately $3.225 billion.
The company's Bitcoin holdings remain unchanged at 843,775 BTC, marking a second consecutive week without any purchases or sales of the cryptocurrency.
This move has been seen as a strategic decision by some analysts, who argue that MicroStrategy is prioritizing its cash reserves over buying more Bitcoin. Others, like Peter Schiff, have criticized the company for 'needlessly sacrificing common shareholders to protect preferred shareholders' without selling Bitcoin.
